Colouring Pages for Women!

For the longest time, I have been wanting colouring pages to suit me - the adult lady. Pages that weren't just abstract. Pages of a girly nature - Princess type pages for women, Mums, Aunts - Nannas. I wanted pages that were nostalgic of my youth - stuff I could relate to. Good old retro stuff. I decided to make some. Click on the pic to go get them. I am actually making a heap more - this is just the start. Well, what can you do with these pages? Any dang thing that captures your fancy! There's plenty of space for text - and adding your own colour if you wanted to. Anyone who's lived a bit of life could relate them to their own life stories - how about a new journal of your own memories? Use them for: Journaling Writing prompts - creative and personal Diary Collage Scrapbooking Cards Framed prints Wall decor Posters Memories/memoirs notes There are plenty more things I'm sure you creative types could think of! Have fun :) xxx...

Hello!

I told myself I was going to slow down - and then didn't listen to myself. I can't believe how the time has got away from me. Was kind of burnt out at the end of last year -so thought I should take it easy a bit. Hmmmmffff! Since I last posted - Took on another year of study. Took on Editing tasks. Became a Nan to two more boys. Recently did a website for a Motivational speaker. Business cards for people in Oz, and a doctor in the city. Worked on graphics galore to try and stay ahead with posting on Craft Found. Had a birthday and made myself worse for wear. Went into hospital twice.  Got crazy mad about getting broken vintage and retro sewing machines and making them work. I have a journal (of sorts) to try and keep on top of things - often I'll make graphics and 'lose' them in a myriad of file folders. With that I made a half-hearted attempt at computer organisation, which ended up just plonking 95GB of files from the laptop onto an external ha...

Bunch 'o Journals

I love paper, blank exercise books, diaries, journals... Here are some I've made... Handmade journals are quicker to make than you might think. They're just about my favourite gift to give to friends...   My first go at something like this was at primary school, where we marbled paper for the cover. It must have stuck in my mind because 40+ years later I remember it well and utilise the techniques often. These journals are cheap to make, I use stuff I have on hand. The only bought stuff is acid free A4 copy paper reams for journals I use as workbooks or idea books. Its pretty cheap at about $5 per 500 pages. An A5 journal of 240 pages takes 60 x A4 pages - a fat, substantial book for arty goodness for about 60 cents (plus time of course)... cheaper than a lolly and better for your teeth. :)

Making Your Own A5 Wallpaper Covered Journal

Making a journal..... from cardboard, wallpaper or scrap paper and copy paper. I've made a few of these babies - they are easier to make than you might think.  The time guide below should be fairly true even if you have never made one before. Time Guide Part 1: making the cover - takes about 30 mins plus drying time Part 2: The Signatures - takes about 10 mins Part 3: Readying the Spine - takes about 5mins Part 4: The Binding -takes about 30 mins Other stuff you need: glue packing tape needle crochet cotton or strong thread awl or other pointy tool scissors This is currently my fav gift of choice to make and give to my mates....   Wanna have a go? Start here: Wallpaper Covered Journal Decided I was gonna keep this for myself (ahh ha ha ha haaaaa...manic laughter) :)

One Page Notebook and Moving

In the middle of the 'move'. Boxes everywhere... a happy jumbly mess. Have not found the wireless modem...but must have the net, so clunking about 'til I find it. Have not found the kitchen gear, but two pots and a pan will suffice. The cat didn't run away. All this work to do and all I can think is that the baking tins are empty. So hot, so the baking will have to wait 'til the cooler hours. Have some projects up my sleeve...camera is broken, got to get a new one. So I'm working on stuff anyway...things in different stages waiting to be photographed. (More mess). I have decided to only buy necessary basic craft stuff for a while...must use the stuff I already have. There's quite a bit of it. On the other hand, it's so good having a choice of stuff when you're creating. Also going to re-purpose stuff...crappy test prints and other crappy bits of pretty paper. My problem is I get this stuff and just look at it, because it's too pretty /good ...
